AUTHORPILOT INTERVIEWS CHARLOTTE SUMMERS
AP: Tell us if it’s a novel, book of poetry or other; then what genre it is and why you chose that genre.
CS: This book is the first in a series and is a novella series. It’s a fantasy novella. I chose this genre as I love reading about werewolves and other things that go bump in the night. I wanted to be able to write a book and this genre just clicked for me.
AP: …a little bit more extensively, what’s your book about?
CS: My book is about a girl who doesn’t know about the supernatural. She ends up being part of the werewolf race and has to save a pack of werewolves who she takes in. She learns the way of the wolf and becomes the alpha female, even though she doesn’t know much about the werewolf world. She must decide who to trust and who is going to turn her in to be killed by the hunters who try to find her at every turn. Nowhere is safe for her new pack.
AP: Have you written the book based on your personal life
CS: This book is not based on me. I haven’t actually got around to making a book based on me yet and I don’t think I ever will.
AP: What do you feel about main characters or their circumstances?
CS: I feel a lot about my characters. Every kind of emotion runs through me when I think of them and how they are having to fight for their lives.
AP: What emotions are you essentially seeking to arouse?
CS: I am seeking to get people loving my characters and following my character emotions as they go through the book.
